World Syntech operates the Driver App mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect information when drivers and authorized users use our app.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following information:
Account and profile information:
- User name, phone number, email address, company, driver ID, login credentials, and assigned role.
Delivery, job, and shipment information:
- Order details, job records, shipment status, barcode or QR scan results, proof-of-delivery information, inbound, outbound, transit, and warehouse activity records.
Location information:
- Approximate and precise location while the app is in use, where enabled, to record driver position for dispatch, delivery tracking, job verification, and operational monitoring.
Photos and camera data:
- Photos taken or selected by users for proof of delivery, inbound, outbound, transit, or job submission.
- Camera access for barcode scanning and capturing delivery-related photos.
Device and app information:
- Device model, operating system, app version, device identifiers where applicable, log data, crash information, diagnostics, and network information used to maintain security and app performance.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information to:
- Provide driver, warehouse, delivery, and shipment management features.
- Authenticate users and protect accounts.
- Assign, update, and verify delivery jobs.
- Record proof of delivery and shipment handling activities.
- Show or record driver location for dispatch and delivery tracking.
- Improve app reliability, diagnose errors, and maintain security.
- Provide customer support and operational reports.
- Comply with legal, regulatory, accounting, and business requirements.
3. Sharing of Information
We may share information with:
- The company, logistics operator, warehouse, dispatcher, or account owner that authorized your use of the app.
- Service providers who help us operate hosting, storage, analytics, support, security, or technical infrastructure.
- Customers or business partners where necessary to complete delivery, shipment, or job operations.
- Authorities or third parties where required by law, regulation, legal process, safety, fraud prevention, or enforcement of our terms.
We do not sell personal information.
4. Permissions Used by the App
Camera:
Used to scan shipment barcodes and capture proof-of-delivery, inbound, outbound, and transit photos.
Photo Library:
Used when users choose existing photos for delivery or job submission.
Location:
Used while the app is open to record driver location for dispatch, delivery tracking, and job verification.
Internet:
Used to connect the app to our servers and synchronize job, order, delivery, and account data.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal information and operational records for as long as necessary to provide the app, support delivery and logistics operations, comply with legal or accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it where reasonably possible.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. User Choices and Rights
This app is used by authorized companies for their internal logistics, delivery, warehouse, and driver operations. User accounts and operational data are managed by the company or organization that provides the user’s account.
Authorized users may request access, correction, or deletion of their personal information by contacting their own company administrator, logistics manager, or privacy contact. Some requests may need to be handled by that company because the account, delivery records, job records, proof-of-delivery photos, and operational data are controlled by the company that uses the app.
Some records may need to be retained for business, legal, accounting, security, delivery verification, audit, or operational purposes.
8. Children’s Privacy
The app is intended for business and logistics use. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International Transfers
Information may be processed and stored in countries outside your country of residence, depending on our service providers and business operations. We take reasonable steps to protect information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
